FUCK U KAU!

Let me take you through my day. I wake up around 6:30 a.m. cuz I must be in the hospital at 7:30, to catch the bus to go to a primary health clinic. The bus driver is a reckless, maniac who wants us all dead but unfortunately always fails and only succeed in mixing us like a happy hour cocktail.

An hour later we arrive at the PHC. We are supposed to observe doctors working their magic on patients and to learn from them some life long valuable skills. We observe all right. We observe the doctors that we don't want to be and if -God forbid we were- we ask the courage to leave this practice to some more worthy, qualified doctors cuz this is LIVES we are messing with!

The PHC is very boring. It's not located in a poor neighbourhood so there aren't many patients. We deal with some doctors crap, walk around looking for something to do, fail, then talk about the Porsche parked outside the PHC, wondering which doc might possibly owns it, we leave, get mixed like a cocktail again, get a major headache, arrive at the university, miss breakfast/lunch or settle for whatever, attend VERY boring lectures till 4:00 p.m., go home. Or sometimes they don't even finish on time and you must fucking stay.

When I finally arrive home, sometimes I'm too tired to even sleep. Like today, that's why I'm writing this. xD
Then I must study. Cuz guess what? On Saturday I have an OSCE exam. Yeah, we only just started. I know! After that you sleep a restless sleep and repeat the cycle all over again. Fun day? So yeah fuck you KAU!

On another note today was a bit different. Still frustrating but different morning cocktail mixing. We went to the Arabian Centre for Natural Treatment. It's owned by doctor and engineer Yahya Koshk, a very interesting person.

At the centre they have a lot of kewl, since fictiony sounding stuff. It's just I wished they demonstrated those therapies they were talking about so we can see for ourselves. If you want to know what I'm talking about Google alternative and complementary medicine :P

Tell me about your day. Hope it's better than mine. :)
And girls don't forget to feel your boobies.

Update

Hola amigos. The school year started on Saturday and I really hoped I'd write a witty post of my first day of the fifth year in medical school but I guess that won't be happening. It was tiring, scary and super boring.

I have started my family medicine rotation, I really hope it passes by pleasantly. Today we were supposed to go to a primary health clinic to see it in action. But we waited from 7:30 am to 9-ish and the buses didn't come, so the visit got cancelled for today. Not that I am complaining, cuz I don't really feel like going but I had to wake up extra early for this. The silly thing on my way from the hospital to the campus to attend some lectures, I saw this

So the buses and drivers are present at campus, but we didn't go. Why is that? My friend said maybe because the windows aren't shaded. Which normally would be far fetched but this is KAU and we are in Saudi. So yeah maybe. Could you imagine the horror. Girls in a bus and guys can see them! :/

On a more pleasant subject, I saw Vampires Suck and it is hilarious you will laugh your ass out all through out the movie. They really nailed twilight. Seriously a must watch! xD

Vampires Suck

No, I'm not talking about the movie. Though I can't wait to see it.

I am talking about all the little holes and flaws made in the idea of them. Don't get me wrong I love watching True Blood and The Vampire Diaries and I love to think that maybe vampires really do exist -don't you dare make fun of me- but I just can't let go of all the biological crap.
For instance in TVD,when a vamp wants to save a human's life and he feeds him from his blood and then say "it'll pass through your system in a few days". What? How in the world? Last time I checked we human beings do NOT sweat blood and unless you are a woman and will get your period in the next few days, I don't see how this blood will pass through your system. Which then brings us to True Blood, the blood NEVER passes through your system? If you had some of the vamp's blood, you'll always have his blood in you and you'll be connected for life. Dude, red blood cells life span is 120 days. The connection should only last that long, dumb ass.

And another thing what's up with the lame ass vampire always getting the special girl and the HOT, awesome, fantastic vampire always falling in love with her but can never have her cuz he is "bad" and plus she is madly in love with her tormented vamp. But wait a sec why is this vamp so tormented in the first place? I though he has no soul?
And how come vampires' love is so strong and undying? Yet again I thought they had no souls? Are you telling me, that for a love to be true and everlasting it should be soul-less? No, wait. Now I'm confused. What is a soul anyway? I'll Google it.

Plato, drawing on the words of his teacher Socrates, considered the soul as the essence of a person, being, that which decides how we behave. He considered this essence as an incorporeal, eternal occupant of our being. As bodies die the soul is continually reborn in subsequent bodies. The Platonic soul comprises three parts:

  1. the logos (mind, nous, or reason)
  2. the thymos (emotion, or spiritedness, or masculine)
  3. the eros (appetitive, or desire, or feminine)

Each of these has a function in a balanced and peaceful soul.

Shit! I don't care what you say, according to Plato them vampires got souls. Or they are really alive and not dead as they claim? Is being a vamp just another way of being? Which brings me to another flaw in the plot. You say they are dead. Their hearts don't beat. So blood is not being pumped to their organs. But yet they bleed, cry blood, and have erections. Weird. I could let it drop it by saying they maybe are engorged with blood and male vampires are running around with a hard one all night. OK? Seriously vampires suck!

But we still love them xD

Damon Salvatore from TVD. Bless his non-beating heart. In one scene he was reading Twilight and he said they got it all wrong or something. And that's why they suck and don't even qualify to be called vampires.

And an even better reason to love and to forget all about the suckniess

Eric Northman from True Blood. He'll make you want to jump out of your skin

I watch too much TV :/

Eid Mubark

Aola amigos. It's the last day of Ramadan. Hope you have been good people. Allah yt8bl mnn o mnkom 9al7 al a3aml and Eid mubark.

I'm glad it's going to be on a Friday. I just love how what they taught us in school comes to life. You know when Jumu'ah prayers become not obligatory to all men. If some went, it's enough. Although I'm a woman and I don't have to go anyway, still I find it very amusing.

Make the most of this last day and enjoy your Eid.
XOXO

My New Passion

You've all noticed how much I enjoyed the world cup. Me, you, everyone thought this football frenzy will be over by the time Spain proudly won the world cup. Well, we were wrong. I'm so much in love with football. There is no cure from this bug.

I did some research aka Googling before the football season started and picked a team to root for. Guess what team I chose?

Congrats if you guessed Real Madrid. Now guess why? WOW I can't believe you couldn't guess that LOL. Well there isn't one reason. It's like a bunch of factors that collided together to make a reason called the dream team. My dream team consists of:

1. The yummy bunny himself: CR. And it got nothing to do with his yumminess. His foot work and dedication to the game is just unbelievable. Yeah OK whatever don't believe me.
2. Sergio Ramos *hearts*. Although I hated you when you kicked Germany's ass. But damn you're good.
3. Iker Casillas.
4. Di Maria.
5. They signed with Mesut Ozil and Sami Khdira. WOOT WOOOT. You guys made me super happy. And confirmed my decision.
6. Jose Mourinho. Well I don't really "know" him. But my brothers love him. And he led Inter Milan to win the UEFA Champions League. Which is good enough for me.

Enough said. Over the past month or so I fell deeper in love with this team. But now that la liga started, I can't say I'm very pleased with Real Madrid's performance. Will that was my feelings since the pre season but after the match with Mallorca, I'm more like very disappointed. So I told my friend Yara, who was a Barcelona fan then converted for the sake of SR, CR and me, about the utter disgrace of the draw. She responded by changing her BBm status to this:

My response was:

And I'm seriously thinking about it. Hot never tops loser. After my little brother heard my deceleration of ditching foot ball, he said I'm allowed to change heart. It's not like I'm a die hard fan or whatever. But I don't think I just can change teams. Remember my policy if you say you'll do something you stick to it. It's more of liking than doing in this situation. So maybe I can wiggle myself out of this one. Let's not be rash. Mourinho just needs time to work his magic with this team and soon they'll work wonders. I hope. But in every match someone is freaking injured. It's like there's a curse or something *pout*. HALA MADRID!

What's your favourite foot ball team?

Yes? No? Or Maybe?

As hot, smart, assertive, self sufficient young ladies the train -I'm not gonna say marriage but- of being in serious relationships might pass us by. For the lack of suitable worthy men, whom are strong enough to handle such assertiveness. Plus we don't have the time for whining, insecure men in our lives.

Usually a woman of such qualities after a certain age and amount of years when she established her career and position in life, becomes open to having that whinny little man in her life. She could go for a guy her age whom somewhat might appear mature and accomplished but sadly can't get it up. Or she can be labeled as the sexy cougar that is looking for a much younger play toy of a man. Just like Demi Moore and Ashton.

But what if this hot cougar is not even in her 30s? Hell she's still in her late 20s. Then we call her a puma. But what if she was 22 and she is attracted to 19 year old guys. Then what? We call her a kitty? A term for such case wasn't invented cuz usually it doesn't exist. But sadly that is the bizarre case with our friend Tatiana.
Tatiana found herself in a situation where she is surrounded by 19 year old boys and no real men in sight. For a 22 year old that should be a turn off. But those are hot, muscular, would put Sergio Ramos into shame 19 year olds. So let's not be rash and discard the idea of dating such younger men -or kids- so fast. But first you must know we are not talking about Arabs. Cuz then they will be skinny and small and girls their own age wouldn't wanna date them let alone an older girl.

Pros for dating a 19 year old:

• He is hot. But then again so are guys in their twenties.
• He is easy to control.
• He would do anything to please you.
• According to Tatiana an older girl seems perfect to the younger guy and he doesn't compare you to other women. My theory to explain is: maybe there weren't any other women or they weren't sober enough to remember such women.
• He likes to show you off. Man I scored an older hot chick -or puma.
• You can be your silly self around him and act childish.
• You don't have to worry about him chasing 19 year old girls cuz they still have pimples.

Now the cons:

• He is a TEENAGER!
• If women complained from 40 year old men immaturity. Let's not begin to talk about those children.
• He WILL embarrass you in front of your friends.
• Even though you are just 22, you'll always be reminded that you are OLDer.
• It is still not socially accepted.
• You can never ever expect him to be serious or thinking of a future to your relationship.
• He might still have pimples.

Although the cons are less aren't they more destructive to the relationship than the more pros? Help Tatiana decide is dating a 19 year old a yes? A big no? Or just a maybe?

Life of Pi

Someone a while back recommended this book to me. I can't recall who but thanks, I loved it.

*Spoiler Alert*

The book promises you a story that will make you believe in God. I'm not sure how? But since I already believe who cares. At the beginning and due to the promise I thought it was just about this Indian kid who is exploring religion and God. Which was fine, I loved this part. Some deep, intense stuff. Though for a second there I got all closed minded and just couldn't get over the fact that you can NOT have 3 religions. You just can't. When the 3 wise men fought over that same issue and he said "I just want to love God", I felt ashamed and shut my head up. But then after reading the whole thing I stand by believing it's wrong. I guess Yann Martel, didn't do enough research about Islam. Because if he did he will know that a person who is a Muslim and whose major is religion would know that the only unforgivable sin in Islam is to worship other Gods or things beside Allah. Big failure. But hey that's not the point of the story.

Now to the sea part, seriously "film hindi" LOL. Some really unbelievable, disgusting shit. And while I was reading it, I thought it was really a true story cuz he kinda of said so at the author's notes, but then I found out it's fiction. The point is I wanted to google a lot of the stuff cuz they sounded so science fictiony. And it really Really broke my heart. Too much suffering.

When he gave that other version or story or whatever, if it's a true story, I would have favoured it. Cuz seriously how in the world were the meerkats would exist in that carnivore island? By the way the meerkats totally reminded me of the world cup. No, for real, if such island exists that would be awesome. I ain't questioning it either.

I didn't want it to stop. I wanted to know what happens next? How could a person who has went through all of that lead a normal life? It's a great book and I totally recommend it to you. A part of me thinks it's a must read too.

Flexible Me?

Before the summer started. I was watching So You Think You Can Dance season 7. And you know how I am when I watch TV, I wanna be like them. But when it comes to this show I will just settle with being as flexible as the dancers. Cuz I was not flexible. Can't-reach-my-toes-even -though-I'm-thin-inflexible. So I had to do something about it. Noticed how I used was instead of is?

Yes ladies and gents, I am now flexible LOL. Wanna know how? Will, since the beginning of the summer I have started doing some Kundalini yoga. Though I'm not into the spiritual, mental thingy.

At the first session, it was as I heard some say, like you have never breathed before. I have used up some lung capacity, I have never knew existed. I don't know if it was the too much oxygen that went to my brain for the first time or what? But I stayed light headed and dizzy for 3 hours after. People you should REALLY learn how to breath. Good breathing uplifts your spirit and relaxes you beyond anything else. And that concludes the good part of the first experience.
I found out how inflexible my body really is and it was extremely frustrating not being able to get into the full poses. And while I'm in the middle of my struggle, the dude in the DVD says "and you're as young as your spine is flexible". THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I'm 21 and my spine is stiff as hell so what does that makes me? 40? Needless to say that line destroyed me.

1st attempt to get into camel pose.

Thankfully the frustration was a result of the first session alone. The second day, I was able to get into most of the poses except camel pose but still I took that pose further than I did before. Which was a big thing cuz it was the hardest one for me. Third time I got into ALL the poses. Including camel pose. I am so happy with the results and really amazed of how fast it happened alhmdullah. As I'm continuing to do yoga, I'm getting better and better results every day. And I'm doing pilates now too.

2nd attempt. Note: the heels are raised.
Full pose. I CAN DO THIS NOW! :D

Remember people you are as young as your spines are flexible. :P

2010 World Cup Memories and Rants

This post is for me to reflect upon in 4 years time. Inshallah I'll be reading it in Brazil. If you didn't watch this world cup you won't understand what I'm talking about and maybe even if you did.

I can't believe it has been a month already. It feels like just last week we were watching the opening match. Staring at a black screen with the words "no signal" no thanks to al Jazeerah.

Remember how I said I won't root for a specific team and that I'll just root for the hottest one every match. Yeah that was not the case. Not even close. I was sold to Germany the minute I knew Mesut Özil was playing. A Very amazing Turk player. Plus I love Germany in the medical field and I think it is a great country. Too bad for Mesut he was only a star in the matches against Australia and Ghana. But he is young and he is a big star in the making.
I loved the German team. Every and each one of them had a piece of my heart. I loved how they topped group D. As in D for Duha. Me. And how they scored 4 goals each in 3 of their matches. Which 4 is my lucky number. I'm telling you those are MY boys.
I was super sad when Muller got a yellow card in the match with Argentina and was to miss the match with Spain. Di Maria from Argentina also handballed but did not get a yellow card. So that is NOT FAIR! I hate the referees in this world cup. Bunch of ass holes. Anyway after my boys lost against Spain, I was DYING to know what was Muller thinking. I searched for an interview with him but nothing. I really wanted to talk to him. Puff I'm not a stalker. I just needed to know what was he thinking. LOL that sounds funny now. And then when Klose didn't play against Uruguay I was so heart broken. Oh why would he do that? The flu? Back injury? Those are not reasons. If he was dead, I would want someone to drag his corpse all over the field and hope for the ball to hit his body and score 2 times. If he did he would have broken the all-time FIFA World Cup finals scoring record of 15. I really needed to talk to him too. Enough about Germany. For now that is.

Now Portugal, at their first match I was at the beginning against them cuz my little brother rooted for them. I made jokes after jokes and made him change his mind and never ever root for them again. But during the match Cristiano Ronaldo, whom I never really understood why is everybody obsessed with him, threw and got himself a yellow card for acting I guess. He then screamed "FUCK YOU". I was signed, sealed delivered. Man that was HOT! And I am not the only one who thinks that. And that is how me rooting for Portugal was borne LOL.
The next match with Korea was just AWESOME! Loved every bit of the 7 goals. And how Cristiano was getting frustrated for not scoring himself and then he did score that silly yummy goal and LOL. He made my day. The next day my friend was insisting that the ball rolled over his ass and then he shot it. I told her I didn't see no ass involvement and that we must see it again to make sure. I still think there weren't but it is still a cute goal. Speaking of his ass, that same friend was commenting on it and another friend told her "siby his ass fi 7alo". LOL I think it was hilarious but that is just me. :P

To Spain,
You broke my heart twice. Kicking both of my teams out. But I'm oddly still happy that you won the cup. Maybe because you were really the best or maybe cuz you have hands down the hottest guys in the tournament.
I LOVED the second half of the match with Paraguay. Super entertaining. I watched it 6 times.

To Holland,
I love you guys and love your country. Had some amazing memories there. But what the fuck? It's football not kill-the-Spanish-game. You played too fucking rough at the final. Not cool.

To Villa and Wesley,
HAHA Muller got the Adidas Golden Boot Yaay. The only importance of the final for me, was to make sure you 2 freaks don't score. Woop woop. I say this with love cuz I like you both as players. :P

Dude this might be the longest, most disorganized post EVER!

On crying, that was a major up in the world cup. I just enjoy getting sad over them cute guys crying. Sick? I know. The most memorable crying dudes -I was struggling to find a word better than cry babies- were:
  1. That cute Italian dude that was really crying but I can't really remember his name. LOL not so memorable ha?
  2. Oscar the Paraguayan who lost the penalty shot against Spain. Y7ZIN!
  3. Eduardo, Portugal's goal keeper. He BROKE MY HEART! Poor thing. He was really good.
  4. Casillas, Spain's goal keeper, tears of joy. Top notch awesome happiness.
  5. Wesley Senijder glistening eyes after he cried was so cute. Poor little thing.
Now let's talk in general. That was not in general? I mean about some random players.
  1. Diego Forlan, you are HOT plus a very amazing player. You totally deserved that Golden Ball.
  2. Luis Suarez, I really don't like you but you totally saved the day in the match with Ghana. That was REALLY FUNNY! Great goal keeping skills.
  3. David Villa, you MOVE like a real matador. I like o.O
  4. Siphiwe Tshabalala, I really like your last name.

I think this is enough. No one will read all of this let alone me. Oh wait. Last thing, I promise.

Note to STC: FUCK YOU! I LOVED watching/BBming the matches with Yori. For you to cut off the service just because I changed to prepaid so you won't rob me as much was plain WHAT THE FUCK YA 7RAMIAH! I have been begging you to TAKE MY MONEY for 2 WEEKS NOW and still NOTHING! I hope you burn in hell.

And a happy world cup to you too. xD
