A Stupid Kid

I know this is old but I just had the misfortune of watching it. THE MOST ANNOYING STUPIDEST KID EVER!

Now don't get me wrong. I HATE SAUDI! But what I hate more is alflsfah from a Saudi. And so I am here today, putting my OB book aside and proving him stupid.

Luckily, just a couple of days ago I got all nostalgic, played with my dolls and read an old Winnie the Pooh book which I got from guess where? AMERICA TDAH DAH DAH. So let us tackle this stupid kid's arguments and send him to his daddy crying.

  1. I'm pretty sure the man's name is Mimon not Lemon. Fucking learn how to read.
  2. Really you never read an English book that was "s5eef"? I beg to disagree. How to Catch a Heffalump was the stupidest shit ever. Winnie the Pooh is insanely dumb and the whole time I was rereading the book I was thinking: how the fuck did I loved him when I was little? Child, you just don't read much. In every language there are the lame books and the good ones. You just have to pick the right ones which also must be age appropriate. Maybe the "crazy book" you were referring to was for younger midgets. Like the Winnie the Pooh book. It was definitely not targeted to amuse the 20 something bored girl who would do anything to avoid studying.
  3. You judge a book by the number of pages? It's quality not quantity but what can I say you are a Saudi.
  4. Stupid dad, heard of Bambi? The mother dies. It's OK. Kids can handle death. You don't want your child exposed to this kind of tragedy, read the fucking book before giving it to him.
  5. "How can you actually buy a new mom?...". I bet you this is not a concept created by Arabs. Watch Trading Mom there's a market where you can actually buy a new mom. The horror.
  6. "You only have one mom who is dead. So you have to actually just grow up and then just marry something...". A) That's mean. B) That's your solution? To just marry "something"? Like what a sex doll?
  7. Wow his favourite dinosaur is the one who looks like an insect. Good choice. NOT!
I blame the dad. His kid is nothing special and just as bad as Rebecca Black.

P.S: I'm not defending Arabic literature. It sucks.

Fetal Medical Unit

The lady who delivered the deformed fetus the night I was on call, came today complaining to Prof. Hassan Nasrat about the abortion laws in Saudi. The poor thing had to deliver two other fetuses with congenital anomalies whom were also incompatible with life. She was crying and showing him pictures of her dead baby. She asked for them to use this gift of science & knowledge to actually do something. The pregnancy should have been terminated & she shouldn't have had to carry those fetuses as long as she did. But of course the doctors didn't abort because our inhumane religious men told her and I quote: "at8y Allah ya o5ty hady nfs bshriah". Really? Well, they didn't look human and they died right after birth.

After she left, the Prof. said the laws are now looser but some doctors still don't feel comfortable using them. I thought our job as doctors was first to inflict no harm? I thought we should weigh the pros and cons and decide on the proper management? And how is it proper to lead a full term pregnancy with all it's known complications to the mother's body & psychological trauma, knowing that the out come is a dead baby?

And that is why I could never be an obstetrician. Too much ethical & so called religious shit.

So Happy I Could Die :P

What a night! Man I feel like a G6 and I bet I'll wake up tomorrow inshallah felling like P.didy! What? Why you say? Well baby doll, Arsenal WON and wait for it, wait for it, Barcelona LOST!

The thing is, yesterday and today were BAAHD! I was so restless and out of my skin cuz I have my paediatric midterm this Saturday and I haven't had any exams since more than 2 months i.e. out of practice, double the panic! And I really wanted to go out and watch the Champions League game: Arsenal vs Barcelona but the guilt was killing me. Obviously I ignored my guilty conscious and went but it wasn't all flowers and roses. When I got to Fratelli cafe the douchebags were airing Hilal vs Ahly match, even when A vs B started! Saudi stupid teams instead of the UCL? REALLY? Obviously, I talked to the manager and demanded to switch the channel or I'M LEAVING AND THEN IT'S YOUR LOSS! They didn't! he just begged me to wait a few minutes. Hilal won. WHO CARES?!

Now finally we are watching the game. Mood already beyond fucked up. And then bam David Villa scores a goal for Barcelona. No comment.

The 2nd half begins and Van Persie scores for Arsenal! I screamed and clapped and the party begun baby! And then Arshivan scores the winner and I was on cloud nine xD
Seriously the game was amazing and I'm not just happy becuase Barcelona lost. I also consider myself an honorary Arsenal fan since I'm the sister of 2 die hard Gunners! :p

So yeah happy happy day al 7mdullah xD
Wish me luck on my midterm and good luck to Real Madrid against Lyon next week xoxo

Devil Babies?

When last week ended I wanted to write a post about how wonderful the 2 weeks I spent with the rheumatology team at KAUH were the most amazing in my entire educational life at KAU. But everything I wrote wasn't enough and didn't remotely show how very, extremely happy I was. How can you describe the 2 weeks that made you fall back in love with medicine? I'm head over heals here. Even thinking about it makes me tearful and my heart aches of love and joy. Silly? You had to be there to understand.

At the end of this week, I want to burst out crying. I actually almost did during session today. happy tears they were not. I started paediatric this week and will by studying it for the next 3 months. And I am beyond frustrated!

I don't really hate kids. I mean yes, I don't get why people are so keen to reproducing and yes they are cute little creatures that will grow up to be the ass holes adults that we are -not they aren't in their own way. But I don't hate them. Hey at least I said some of them are cute.
But the thing about paediatric is it's so fucking annoying. These additional, complicated parts in their history. The fact that you can't even take the history from them. Their tiny, cranky, hell screaming bodies. Their different parameters and shit. It's like you have to start processing new information all over again. And the fucking department. DUDE! It's the 2nd day and I'm supposed to know how to deal with them and to have logic regarding their conditions? Plus they are the 2nd most conservative department in the hospital. And for the fear of the 2 genders mixing, "sitat al byoot, al hoanim" aka 6th year guys will stay at KAUH and us the ones who can drive -thank you KSA- will go to other hospitals at day then come back at noon to attends lectures at KAUH. LOGIC YOU SAY?

To top it off, I don't know what's up with my fucked up luck that it can't give me a break or in this case a weekend. So you see I was at MCH al azyziah this week and next week I'll be at MCH al ms3diah. And dear me have a case presentation on Saturday. Ideally I'm supposed to take it from al msa3diah but how could I when I'm at al azyziah? I have to come at the weekend and take a case. My stupid name keeps getting Saturday's for case presentations. And so I come to the hospital on weekends and I REALLY don't like being alone. But in this case I WILL NOT GO! I'm sorry. I'm not used to these hospitals yet and I'm already suicidal you do not want to push me further.
So I took a case from al azizyah this morning and I couldn't finish reading the file for the hospital course cuz the doctor decided to come early and start the session. THAT PISSED ME OFF! I have lectures all afternoon in a DIFFERENT hospital, I HAVE TO COME ON A WEEKEND NOW? HELL NO!
Then it rained. And I was saved. Jeddah people are so afraid of any drop of rain since last year so lectures got cancelled. And I stayed and finished up my case AL 7MDULLAH! I didn't get to see the rain though *pout*

Let's just hope I do great on Saturday and get over my frustration with paediatric or just suck it up like a big girl.

P.S: I MISS YOU RHEUMATOLOGY!

FUCK U KAU!

Let me take you through my day. I wake up around 6:30 a.m. cuz I must be in the hospital at 7:30, to catch the bus to go to a primary health clinic. The bus driver is a reckless, maniac who wants us all dead but unfortunately always fails and only succeed in mixing us like a happy hour cocktail.

An hour later we arrive at the PHC. We are supposed to observe doctors working their magic on patients and to learn from them some life long valuable skills. We observe all right. We observe the doctors that we don't want to be and if -God forbid we were- we ask the courage to leave this practice to some more worthy, qualified doctors cuz this is LIVES we are messing with!

The PHC is very boring. It's not located in a poor neighbourhood so there aren't many patients. We deal with some doctors crap, walk around looking for something to do, fail, then talk about the Porsche parked outside the PHC, wondering which doc might possibly owns it, we leave, get mixed like a cocktail again, get a major headache, arrive at the university, miss breakfast/lunch or settle for whatever, attend VERY boring lectures till 4:00 p.m., go home. Or sometimes they don't even finish on time and you must fucking stay.

When I finally arrive home, sometimes I'm too tired to even sleep. Like today, that's why I'm writing this. xD
Then I must study. Cuz guess what? On Saturday I have an OSCE exam. Yeah, we only just started. I know! After that you sleep a restless sleep and repeat the cycle all over again. Fun day? So yeah fuck you KAU!

On another note today was a bit different. Still frustrating but different morning cocktail mixing. We went to the Arabian Centre for Natural Treatment. It's owned by doctor and engineer Yahya Koshk, a very interesting person.

At the centre they have a lot of kewl, since fictiony sounding stuff. It's just I wished they demonstrated those therapies they were talking about so we can see for ourselves. If you want to know what I'm talking about Google alternative and complementary medicine :P

Tell me about your day. Hope it's better than mine. :)
And girls don't forget to feel your boobies.

Update

Hola amigos. The school year started on Saturday and I really hoped I'd write a witty post of my first day of the fifth year in medical school but I guess that won't be happening. It was tiring, scary and super boring.

I have started my family medicine rotation, I really hope it passes by pleasantly. Today we were supposed to go to a primary health clinic to see it in action. But we waited from 7:30 am to 9-ish and the buses didn't come, so the visit got cancelled for today. Not that I am complaining, cuz I don't really feel like going but I had to wake up extra early for this. The silly thing on my way from the hospital to the campus to attend some lectures, I saw this

So the buses and drivers are present at campus, but we didn't go. Why is that? My friend said maybe because the windows aren't shaded. Which normally would be far fetched but this is KAU and we are in Saudi. So yeah maybe. Could you imagine the horror. Girls in a bus and guys can see them! :/

On a more pleasant subject, I saw Vampires Suck and it is hilarious you will laugh your ass out all through out the movie. They really nailed twilight. Seriously a must watch! xD

MTV True Life - Resist the Power

I know this is probably the hundred and one post you read today about the episode. But I just wanted to write what I thought. But I think you should watch it here before reading.

First of all, Jeddah is so not photogenic. It's a big desert, the colors are so meh and the normal houses architecture is blah. But it is really not that bad with the naked eye. Or is it? It's embarrassing.

Second, I personally do not mind the idea of the show. Some would say they have no right showing our dirty laundry to the out world but the fact of the matter is they might actually have improved the image a little bit. It's like we are more than this one stereotype. I don't feel like elaborating on how bs I hope you get my drift?

Now I'm gonna talk about the youth who they interviewed. Aziz, dude you are a LOSER! If that girl REALLY wanted to meet you, she would have went out herself to bring you inside the mall. And when you went in and she didn't show up and then broke up with you the same day, you wanna know why she did that? It is because she saw you. Thought you were a big disappointment, so she decided to cut her losses and dump your sorry ass. And you talking about stupid dating on TV is not going to improve our society in any way shape or form. So get a life.

Ftimah, I like you I really do. But you are not the one introducing colored abayas to the society. Women wore them when I was in the 6th grade. But the colors were ugly back then so the trend faded away. But now it's making a come back and I'm loving the colors.
I have one that have a colored side and a black side, which I can wear both ways. Mine is TOO colourful so its hard for me to wear the colored side as much as I want. People do stare much. I hope colored abayas become more of a norm here. Cuz black ALL the time is so depressing and not summer friendly.
I loved when she rode the bike. Me and my mom are in love with motor bicycles but being females in this society, we never get to ride them. So I told mom once, that I'm going to dress as a dude and do it, I just needed the motor bike. So she was like "marry a guy who has one and do it or we'll go to Italy and ride vespas together". I'm more with the second choice. xD

Ahmed, is simply great and should be a role model to other Saudi guys.

The metal band, I know this band LOL. My friend posted pictures from one of their gigs on facebook. WOW alot of Saudi guys are into metal music. Personally I don't get it, cuz I hate it. It's too loud and messy for my taste. But the fact that they write their own lyrics and are introducing it to this music's Muslims fans is a great thing. Cuz he said they don't mention religion. And the real metal music is really a satanic worshipping music. So yay.

I really pity our people. This country closes every window for the people to be creative and to express themselves. Whether it is the color of a girl's abaya or the type of music one wants to play. I really hope this show opens up our eyes and let us acknowledge our problems. So then we could work on them.

No Eid For Jeddah

That rain ended up in a disaster. I guess it was more of a punishment than a blessing. People, cars, houses, for God sakes HOSPITALS DROWNED. The situation is so screwed up. And they expect 4 more days of rain & floods. People are asked by the civil defense, not to leave their houses.

KAUH hospital. My hospital. Drowned. The basement floor drowned. No electricity. No nothing. People are dying. I have heard that its been evacuated.

National Guard Hospital, announced code black.

I seriously can't focus my thoughts. If you want to read some more, here & here.

Allah yr7m all the people who have died in this tragedy. My heart goes to their families & to the people in Makkah.

I believe it was a punishment from Allah to some & to show us how really screwed up things are. I hope we wake up before further damage happens & for the people who are responsible to be held accountable.

يا رب ألطف بنا و اعفو عنا أنت أرحم الراحمين

GG And Happy Bday KSA!

Gosssssssssip girl's second episode is so much better. I LOVE IT! I'm still so excited. I want Monday to come now! LOL
But, mmm Chuck is making me feel sick. I love him but what's with the jewelry? So disgusting. And he should really lose some weight ,gain some muscles and add some extra centimeters to his height. If he could. :P

I like Serena's outfits. Except the last one very fugly. And she's such a stupid girl. What is she five? :/ VERY ANNOYING!
Blair, ya nass I love her. She's so cute. Oh and Nate's new girl and Carter are also super cute.
What I hate about lonely boy:
1. His voice.
2. His hair.
3. His stupid attitude.
4. The fact that he's not so lonely any more.
5. And his short brother. No tall guys in America wanna act? :/

Ok that's it no more spoiling. :P But on another subject, today is KSA national day. So I decided to over look all the negatives and look at the brighter side of Saudi and what I like about it. Here we go:
1. I like king Abdullah and his new university. Today is the opening ceremony. So exciting, I want to go. =[
2. I don't have to pay to go to college. On the contrary they pay me. XD
3. I don't have to have great hair all the time- but I do have it- and dress to impress. I only have to put on an awesome abaya and I'm rocking it. :P
4. I did Hajj and I can go to Makkah and AL-Madinah whenever I want. =]
5. They have great Islamic classes at schools. The fact that people misinterpret Islam here and claim they act by it is the reason why I hate Saudi.

Mmm I can't think of anything else. I want a parade. =[

They BOTH Freaking Suck!

I'm sure you saw the pathetic STC commercial, trashing Mobily Broadband. And if you didn't cheak it out.

It's funny and I kinda of believe it LOL.

I was really hoping that Mobily would response with an even lower commercial. So we people at homes would have our laughs. But they were very diplomatic and polite. :/

Anywho, I think this establish the stupidity and the shameless competition those two phone companies are having. But that does not clear up, who is better? No worries the answer is with moa. NONE!

I am a proud soon to be former STC client. They robbed me blindly over the years. I didn't really gave a shit my dad was paying the bills. :P

Anyway, last month I bought my Mr.Bibi aka BlackBerry and Mobily have a better deal with the BlackBerry services than STC. Plus mom was nagging me to switch companies for along time, so I said what the hell I'll try them. My mom had an extra Mobily Sim card that was prepaid, so I took it. I prepaid for the BlackBerry service and was up a and running perfectly. But not for long. Cuz since I don't like the prepaid thingy, I went and changed it to a bill. The fucked up women who changed it for me didn't tell me I lose all services I paid for when I change to a bill. So I lost my BlackBerry service and I barley used it for 2 WEEKS!
They told me I have to pay again, so after along argument I caved and said OK. Then when I wanted to order the service again, they sent me a message telling me I already have it. I called and asked WTF? They told me call after 48 hours! WHAT?! :S
2 days pass, I call they say they fixed it and I have to apply again. I try to do that but out of a sudden I have no phone service. WTF? I call again and they say I have to update my information. I do that but I have one info. missing. I DONT FUCKING HAVE IT! BL8OAH Y3NY? The creep told me I must and that they wont give me the service back if I didn't.

Ya 7bibi one is a big fat ass thief and the other is a fucking screw up and a thief. You both SUCK BIG TIME!

On another note, loved thzee2 AL -Shegrey to the people elly mhy mtrbiah o ma 3ndha e7sas wla fikr.
Remind me to tell you about my business meeting with him or not. :P

Oh and GG starts tomorrow YAAAAAAAAY. Of course I wont watch tom. but even so YAAAAAY.
Yesterday on the Late Show, Leighton Meester aka Blair was on. She said there will be lots of sex, partying and clothes in season 3. YAAAAAAAAAY. LOL I'm obsessed I know and there are no head bands in college.5la9 I'm done. :P

Why can't you be like Wall.E?

I was raised and taught to clean up after myself and NEVER leave a mess, especially in public! And till this day if I couldn't find a garbage can I put my trash in a plastic bag or if I couldn't find that either put it in my designer bag until I find one. But sadly not everyone care as much as I do to keep our country clean.

Yesterday's episode of Khwater reminded me of something I used to think when I was a kid. Unfair as it may seem, I always thought that people in the lower social economic class are the ones who are making all the mess and leaving filth behind them. But thankfully I was proved wrong three years ago.

One of my high school graduation gifts was to go to camp "I Will Be", which was hosted by Dr. Sanaa Abid. It was one of my most cherished experiences that taught me a lot. One of the things I learned was: even RICH people can be dirty and disgusting.

We were going to a somewhat privet beach in Al-Durra, so some of the girls were making homemade or in this case camp-made tanning lotions that are made of juices and they stored them in the juice boxes. So far so good, right?

We went there and we swam, rode jet skies and some bathed in the sun to get a tan. Then it was Maghreb and it was time to go. I don't need to tell you how filthy the place was I kept picking juice boxes and ships and biscuit bags and they didn't seem to end. I stayed calm until I saw the juice boxes they used for their tanning lotions floating in the sea. Then I got really PISSED! I started screaming at them: what kind of people are you? Do you have no respect? And other things that I thought but couldn't say.

Anyway, the girls in that camp were from BIG, RICH families from all around Saudi and still they acted like complete pigs. Ella mn r7m rabby of course.

And that my friends what changed my mind forever. Poor & rich people are both the reason why our country is a dumpster!

P.S:I advise you all to go watch Wall.E and learn from him. Plus he's such a romantic LOL.

Biny o Binak

I don't watch Ramadan TV shows, except maybe khwa6er. But yesterday I saw the promo for Biny o Binak and there was Songül Öden & Tuba büyüküstün aka. Noor & Lames.

My first reaction was: LOL.

The second was: I MUST SEE THIS and another LOL!

In today's episode the Saudi freaks went to my beloved city Istanbul and OMG WTH! It was so funny and yfshil! The idiots thought that Arabic Syrian accent used in the translated Turkish soap operas is TURKISH! And it was so freaking hilarious LOL.

But seriously Arab, the Turkish soap operas obsession is so embarrassing. So QUIT IT!
P.S: check the guy in the green shoes. LOL!
